Malta Football Association
GMR teamed up with the Malta Football Association to create new opportunities and areas of collaboration in esports; the fast-growing world of competitive and organised video gaming.
Through our partnership, we are organising the Malta ePremier League which gives local esports players the opportunity to further their careers while representing one of the football clubs participating in the BOV Premier League, the country’s flagship football competition.
The Malta ePremier League is also an officially licensed qualifier by EA SPORTS as part of their FUT Global Series where official points are awarded to the participants.
Through our partnership, we are organising the Malta ePremier League which gives local esports players the opportunity to further their careers while representing one of the football clubs participating in the BOV Premier League, the country’s flagship football competition.

MRO Technology Expo
The MRO Technology Expo originally the “Malta Robotics Olympiad” was started in 2010 as part of the EMBED digital education conference organised by the Ministry for Education and Employment in Malta.
In 2012 the MRO was annexed as a separate event which mainly consisted of one event, the LEGO® Robotics Competition with about 10 teams competing. Since then, the MRO Technology Expo has grown into an event that attracts over 16,000 visitors every year with a variety of exhibitors ranging from robotics and gadgets to student projects.
Through our partnership with the MRO Technology Expo we host the Esports Area in which we organised a number of tournaments over the years for various games such as Overwatch and Call of Duty amongst others.

For A Cause Events is a company set up by four close friends whose vision is to organise a variety of premium events in which a portion of the proceeds will always be donated to charity.
The company is mainly known for organising the yearly IFR Champions Cup, which is a physical football tournament hosting a number of teams mostly from the three fastest-growing industries in Malta: iGaming, Fintech and Real Estate.
Together with For A Cause Events, we organise the IFR Champions Cup: Esports Edition where players get the chance to virtually represent their employers (companies) by taking part in this tournament.
